A sensual, mood-enhancing, antiseptic, blood pressure–lowering, balancing, calming, and strengthening essential oil.
 
Ylang-Ylang is also known as “the flower of flowers.” It is a large tropical tree that can grow up to 20 meters tall, with long, delicate, fragrant flowers that can be pink, mauve, or yellow.
 
It is originally native to tropical Asia, especially Indonesia and the Philippines.
The essential oil is obtained through water or steam distillation of freshly picked flowers.
In aromatherapy, ylang-ylang is used for acne, irritated and oily skin, general skin and hair care, high blood pressure, depression, frigidity, impotence, insomnia, nervousness, and stress-related conditions.
