Oikos - Oregano essential oil

Analgesic, antiseptic, antirheumatic, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, liver and spleen stimulant, expectorant, antifungal and antiparasitic.
Oregano is a hardy, shrub-like perennial herb growing up to 90 cm tall. It has an upright stem, dark green oval leaves, and pink-purple flowers. It is originally from Europe and is now cultivated worldwide. The oil is mainly produced in Russia, Bulgaria, and Italy.
The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the dried flowering herb.
In aromatherapy, oregano oil is used for nerve pain, muscle pain, muscular rheumatism, arthritis, flu, colds, bronchitis, shingles, persistent cough, asthma, hiccups, slow digestion, poor appetite, menstrual problems, low blood pressure, worm infections, cramps, fungal infections, and bacterial and viral infections.
